Campus Beauty

In addition to constructing numerous buildings and remodeling existing facilities, DBU has always sought to make its campus an oasis of natural beauty that reflects the glory of God's creation. Once a barren campus, today, University Hill thrives with flowers and trees, ponds and lakes, running trails, and prayer gardens. In 2023, DBU was named a Tree Campus USA for the fourteenth year in a row.

Scripture

Throughout the campus, one is surrounded by the Word of God. There are framed images of Scripture along the walls of the classrooms and the hallways in the buildings. On the outside of the buildings, there are plaques and cornerstones with Scripture references. Along the walkways, Scripture is seen. All are presented as reminders of the call to impress the Words of God onto the next generation and write them on the doorposts of the gates.

Sacred Spaces

A sacred space is a location used for spiritual reflection and worship. At DBU, we have taken the time to establish sacred spaces throughout the campus. Surrounded by flowers and sometimes water features, these special sacred spaces allow anyone to take a break from the chaos of the day, enjoy the beauty of God's creation, and sit and wait patiently for the direction of the Lord. Some are small prayer gardens, others are chapels of prayer rooms, and others are larger halls designed for worship. In each space, individuals are encouraged to take time from their busy schedules and worship the one true God.
