DBU Museum of International Cultures Special Collection

Est. August 2020 A.D.

Thanks to a generous gift made possible by the Museum of International Cultures, DBU established a special collection of artifacts. Many missionaries from around the world contributed to the collection. An endowed scholarship in honor of Christian servant leader and Executive Director of the Museum of International Cultures, Mary Fae Kamm, has been established at DBU to reflect the enduring friendship and legacy between DBU and the Museum of International Cultures.

A Rich Heritage

The Museum of International Cultures was chartered in 1979 and was once located in the Duncanville area. The items are unique in that they are taken directly from the experiences of field linguists. The museum sought to create a greater appreciation for ethnic and cultural diversity, thereby furthering mutual respect and peace among people. Items are included from multiple regions across the globe, including:

  • Africa
  • Australasia
  • Central America
  • East-Asia
  • Music Around the World
  • North America
  • South America
  • South Asia
  • Southeast Asia
