My
professor doesn't receive my attachment in my email?
Whichever word processor you use to type your work, it is
best to save your attachments as .RTF files (rich text format)
so your professor may read your assignments. Make sure you
are using the Class Email function within Blackboard to submit
work, rather than the professor's personal email account.
If a couple of days pass without word from your professor,
or a grade submitted, it is best to email the professor to
make sure they initially received the file.

My professor
offers office hours when I am unable to be online?
Faculty office hours are not required for students to be online
at the same time. These are merely times for all students
to know the professor will either be in the chat room, or
reading emails and accessible for students to ask questions.
If you are unable to be online at that time and have questions,
please email your professor as soon as you possibly can.

I have not received
an email from my professor in more than a week?
Please contact the Online Education department at 214-333-6893
if communication with your professor has been more than several
days.

I missed taking
an exam?
The best course of action is to contact your professor immediately
to explain why you missed an exam. The Online Education department
will only reopen a closed exam with the professor's approval.
They will need to contact us either via email or telephone
to let us know what dates are acceptable to reopen exams.

Material
in the lectures (page numbers, chapter numbers, etc) don't
match what is in my textbook?
Email the professor with your question(s). They will either
respond directly back to you, post an announcement, or send
an email to the entire class with the correct information.

I received
the wrong textbook!
First, contact the DBU bookstore at 214-333-5441 immediately
to get the correct book mailed to you. Next, email your professor
to let them know and see what you can do in the meantime to
stay current in the course. As soon as you receive the correct
book in the mail, please catch up with any missed work from
that time.
