As part of the ShareDBU campaign, we wanted to hear directly from one of our students. Senior Briana Kuykendall shares here some of the impactful memories that shaped her time at DBU.
Continuing on in the month-long #shareDBU campaign, we are honored to hear from alumnus Austin Reese about some of his reflections of his time at DBU and his first few years as an algebra teacher.
Dr. Tempress Asagba first came to DBU as a freshman in the fall of 2004. When asked to share about her favorite moments, she focused almost entirely on the impact of mentoring on DBU’s campus.
On Friday, April 6, Dallas Baptist University celebrated the 30 years of service at DBU by Dr. Gary Cook. For the past three decades, Dr. Cook has transformed DBU from a school whose doors were about to close to a university with worldwide impact.
Spring Sing is a beloved tradition for DBU’s Greek Life organizations. Every year, sororities and fraternities hone their singing, acting, and dancing skills as they put on shows written entirely by themselves. Each show is a unique expression of the organization’s creativity, but only one group can be chosen as the winner by our panel of judges.
Meet Dr. Wes Moore! He is the Associate Dean for the College of Fine Arts. He also serves as the Chair of the Department of Music, as well as an Assistant Professor of Voice. The Department of Music seeks to educate students in order that they might engage the global music industry through transformational musical performance, scholarship, and service.
In today’s culture, social media has become the outlet through which individuals are sharing their ideas, theirs values, and their stories. Passionate, trained, and effective college students are available through DBU Ministry Bridge to serve at churches who are in need of assistance with semester-long commitments, as well as special events.
Each Spring Break, DBU sends out teams of students to serve both locally and nationally and return with stories of lives that were impacted. Two such stories are featured below from the eyes of senior Madison Gould and Junior Cooper McCullough.
