The DBU Library is Here to Help

Library Director Scott Jeffries shares how the Library has been helping DBU Patriots during this time of the COVID pandemic and the need for online classes during the fall.

"Truth be told, the Library has been more than print books for as long as there have been computers," Jeffries explained. "The COVID-19 crisis has just created a systemic change where the students' sole option is online."

"We have thousands of online academic articles and eBooks that are, in most cases, more timely, scholarly, and easily accessible online. What has ramped up significantly over the last few weeks is our communication with students through online chat, 'Ask A Librarian' questions, phone calls, and text. Also, we are developing online presentations that faculty can share in class to show students how to do effective research using our online library resources."

The Library continues to serve DBU students in person and through a virtual environment, and students can receive direct help through the Library's online resources: Live Chat, FAQ forum, email, as well as direct calls ((214) 333-5320) and messages ((469) 353-6043).
