Ministry Leadership Matters
Meet the Director, Dr. Blanton Feaster
Dr. Feaster graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Christian Education. At the time, DBU did not have a graduate program in ministry, so he pursued his master's at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Arts in Christian Education in 2004. That same year, he married his DBU college sweetheart, Jaime Rosulin Parrish Feaster. On May 29, 2008, God blessed them with the birth of their son, Parrish Blanton Feaster, who is now 15 years old. Dr. Feaster returned to DBU, earning his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies in 2015.
Dr. Feaster served for 20 years in the areas of worship, education, and administration in Baptist churches across Texas. He has been teaching in the Graduate School of Ministry at DBU since 2011 and is currently the Program Director of the Master of Arts in Education Ministry Leadership. It is his desire to help strengthen ministries within the local church and in academia for Kingdom Growth.
Throughout life, God has continued to equip Dr. Feaster to minister with and to His people. The Lord has used a combination of personal spiritual growth, family and personal relationships, life experiences, academic training, and ministry experiences to teach and shape him for this purpose.
"But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from a sincere faith." - 1 Timothy 1:5 NASB

Student Highlight: Benjamin Torkornoo
Benjamin Torkornoo, an International MAEML student from Accra, Ghana, has been faithfully working towards his degree in Education Ministry Leadership over the past three years. Benjamin has an amazing calling on his life from the Lord and is doing incredible kingdom work in Ghana. Here is what Benjamin had to say about the work he is doing in Ghana and at DBU:
"In 2021 of September, I was led by God while praying to apply to Dallas Baptist University to do a master's degree course in Christian Education Leadership. The call was in line with the next vision in ministry God revealed in early 1993 to plant 4 churches through mission work. God having established successfully the third mission; he was leading me to undertake the fourth mission but this time with a school. With the support and encouragement of my wife, and the brethren in Christ, I took up the task God gave us. This report covers the journey so far, the challenges, and the successes through God's provision. The mission vision demands we must press on by faith. I am grateful to God to come this far depending on his WORD. I am most grateful to God that the project work has crossed two stages, the ground and first-floor structures. The architect and the builder are God. He designed it and it is uniquely built. It is marvelous in our sight." - Benjamin Torkornoo
We are praising God for all the amazing work He is doing and will continue to do through Benjamin in Ghana. Please partner with us in prayer for Benjamin and the calling God has placed on his life, the school, and the church.
