SPECIAL EDITION - FALL 2021 11 No Longer “The Best Kept Secret” For decades, DBU has been known as the “Best Kept Secret in Dallas-Fort Worth.” While that is certainly a flattering sentiment, it underlines the fact that many do not know about all that God is doing on University Hill. During Dr. Wright’s inaugural address, he committed to work to increase the visibility of DBU, not so that DBU would grow in stature, but rather so more and more would come to discover the DBU difference and choose to partner with us in our effort to advance the mission to produce Christ-centered servant leaders. As a part of this work, the DBU leadership team developed a new DBU Style Guide, one which captured the unique essence of the DBU brand and attempted to express that—both verbally and visually. This new brand expression has been communicated in various ways such as—new advertising, videos, updated magazines, redesigned websites, billboards, and social media—in order to create a clear, concise, and consistent message so that the work of God on University Hill would no longer be a secret.
