SPECIAL EDITION - FALL 2021 23 In obedience to the Great Commission, DBU’s influence reaches around the world, not only through the over 600 international students we serve here on campus or the alumni who go forth from the Hill to span the globe, but also through student mission trips, study-abroad programs, and partnerships forged with other international educational institutions. The goal of the newly established Global Community program is to create a community of schools dedicated to building student leaders around the world. Partnering schools receive access to DBU-sponsored educational training events, student programs and scholarships, access to the Honors Scholars Academy for high school students, connections to DBUAlumni Ambassadors, and other various educational materials. The International Forum on Education and Leadership is a week-long conference consisting of plenary sessions, workshops, and school visits that equip and empower DBU’s global partners to be Kingdom agents of change in their communities.
