Facing many hurdles throughout this past pandemic year, DBU Athletics succeeded in making history. Patriot Baseball made it further than ever before—just one win short of a College World Series appearance—with eight Patriots now added to the growing list of players in professional baseball. Several teams also achieved their first ever national championships: Women’s Golf, DBU Patriettes, and DBU Cheer and Stunt. Patriot teams also had the privilege of taking their talents around the world in ministry outreach on mission trips to Spain, Chile, Cuba, and more, demonstrating that DBU Athletics is more than just about winning state and national competitions. It is about making Christ known through the spiritual formation of our players and in their conduct both in the sport and beyond.
