DBU Report Summer 2021

DBU REPORT 6 “Future generations will look back on this past season at DBU and will join with us in praising God for His overwhelming faithfulness,” reflects DBU President, Dr. Adam C. Wright. “Now, with this year behind us, but never forgotten, we are already expecting even greater things in the year ahead. Our hope is in the Lord, and we remain steadfast in praying every day for His blessing over the DBU campus and for the students that He has brought—and will bring—to be uniquely transformed here.” “Future generations will look back on this past season at DBU and will join with us in praising God for His overwhelming faithfulness.” Dr. Adam C. Wright With this past challenging year in their rearview, our faculty and staff are reflecting on what they learned, while preparing to lead DBU effectively into a new year and are ready to welcome a whole new incoming generation of freshmen to life on the Hill later this summer. We asked several of our leaders here on campus to share their reflections on the past year along with their excitement for what is to come, and we pray their thoughts will inspire you to pause and join with us in giving thanks to the Lord for the legacy of His faithfulness to this University and our hope for the future. ________________________ Connor Smith Director of Athletics Despite the most unusual year in program history, our coaches, staff, and student-athletes have risen to the occasion and relentlessly pursued excellence. It has been the most successful year in our department’s history, both on and off the playing surfaces, and we give all of the glory and the praise to God. I am so proud of each of our programs and how they have modeled perseverance and leadership each step of the way. ________________________
