Float Tip-Off Party

Calling all float builders! Homecoming Week kicks off as DBU’s student organizations and clubs begin construction on their highly anticipated homecoming floats. Who will take home the prize this year?
Chili Cook-Off
Tuesday, November 19th | 6:30 p.m. | The Quad
Nothing goes better with float-building than a nice bowl of chili! One of DBU’s most beloved homecoming traditions is back again. Come witness the showdown of the semester as DBU faculty and staff compete with their best chili recipe.
Homecoming Chapel
Wednesday, November 20th | 10:00 a.m. | Homecoming Stage
You won't want to miss out on this special Chapel service! With highlights of DBU alumni faculty and staff, presentation of the Homecoming Court nominees, and incredible music from DBU Chapel Worship, this morning is truly a special experience for the Patriot student body.

Take a break from float-building and enjoy free snacks and drinks courtesy of Student Life!
36th Annual Turkey Trot
Thursday, November 21st | 4:00 p.m. | Homecoming Stage
Time to burn some calories before Thanksgiving arrives! This 36-year-long RecLife tradition gives students the opportunity to run/walk in support of DBU Global Missions.

Mr. Patriot
Friday, November 22nd | 7:00 p.m. | Homecoming Stage
DBU's biggest and longest-running event. A male beauty pageant that isn't really based on beauty (not that the contestants aren't lookers). Watch as these brave men compete in swimsuit, talent, and formalwear competitions. What is their prize? Mr. Patriot will be crowned with the coveted coat and colonial hat and the honor of leading the Homecoming Parade! Come out for a show that is guaranteed to amaze you and make you laugh uncontrollably!
Homecoming Parade/Tailgate
Saturday, November 23rd | 3:00 p.m. | Homecoming Stage
Nothing prepares the Patriot student body for the Homecoming Game like the Parade & Tailgate! Fill the streets of University Hill and see the show-stopping floats, spirit teams, and more. The fun continues with food, games, music, and more!
Homecoming Game
Saturday, November 23rd | 6:30 p.m. | The Burg
It’s time to pack the Burg and cheer for the Patriots as they take on Mississippi College! It’s also time to celebrate the announcing of this year’s Homecoming Court!
Limited seating. All game tickets need to be reserved in advance!
*Please Note: Doors to the Burg Center will tentatively open at 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions about your tickets, please reach out to the Department of Athletics at (214) 333-5324 or tickets@dbu.edu. For those who are unable to reserve their game ticket in time, we will have the DBU Basketball game streamed live on the video board in Lot 4 at the top of campus!
Bonfire Bash
