Dr. Jim Denison
Senior Fellow for Cultural Studies
Dr. Jim Denison is the Chief Vision Officer of Denison Ministries, where he seeks to help readers discern today's news with a biblical world view. He addresses cultural and contemporary issues, sending out a daily column which is distributed to more than 250,000 subscribers across the globe. He has published articles for The Dallas Morning News, The Christian Post, Common Call, as well as for other publications.
Dr. Denison is the author of many books, has pastored churches in both Texas and Georgia, and has taught philosophy of religion and apologetics for over 30 years. He serves as Resident Scholar for ethics with Baylor Scott & White Health, as well as a Senior Fellow with the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative. Dr. Denison also serves as Senior Fellow for Cultural Studies at Dallas Baptist University's Institute for Global Engagement, where he used to lead as the Executive Director for IGE.
He holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Janet, live in Dallas, Texas. They have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.
