International Culture Collection at DBU
Est. August 2020 A.D.
Thanks to a generous gift made possible by the Museum of International Cultures, DBU established a special collection of artifacts. Many missionaries from around the world contributed to the collection. An endowed scholarship in honor of Christian servant leader and Executive Director of the Museum of International Cultures, Mary Fae Kamm, has been established at DBU to reflect the enduring friendship and legacy between DBU and the Museum of International Cultures.
Beginning in 2024, DBU began an extensive inventory, establishing well-researched provenance of the items. A guided interactive tour will be available so interested visitors can learn and appreciate the artifacts and the cultures they represent.

A Rich Heritage
The Museum of International Cultures was chartered in 1979 and was once located in the Duncanville area. The items are unique in that they are taken directly from the experiences of field linguists. The museum sought to create a greater appreciation for ethnic and cultural diversity, thereby furthering mutual respect and peace among people. After being gifted to DBU, the collection of artifacts from the Museum of International Cultures was renamed the International Culture Collection.
Donated Artifacts
Through the generous donation of Mary Fay Kamm and the efforts of both the staff and contributors to the Museum of International Cultures, Dallas Baptist University is proud to continue its mission via the display of a portion of the original collection. DBU plans to have a rotating display of items representing multiple cultures and people groups.
