Leaders must find a way to incorporate spiritual values with work objectives for the organization’s overall success.55 Spiritual leadership also has limitations in its lack of clarity on influencing followers.56 The importance of having a sense of calling and influencing individuals can be unclear for an organization. Strategic management can improve spiritual leadership’s ability to overcome organizational limitations with the SLB model. More research is required to understand the conditions that enhance spiritual leadership and influence followers within an organization.57 Spiritual leadership and strategic management together provide opportunities to equip leaders for organizational success. Implications for Future Research Spiritual leadership is an emerging research field that has the potential to positively impact organizational performance.58 The SLB model has limited studies in an organizational context. Future research should examine the dimensions of spiritual leadership and the strategic management indicators to understand further what characteristics have more significant impacts on organizations. In addition, future research should examine the value of the SLB model in religious organizations that already have established spiritual leadership. Lastly, research should explore the relationship between spiritual leadership and strategic management, specifically the characteristics that they incorporate within an organization.
