Educational Background

  • LL.M., Texas A&M University
  • J.D./MBA, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • B.S., Wichita State University

Bob Reader joined the faculty in 2024, teaching in the areas of business law and technology entrepreneurship. He comes to DBU with 30 years of business experience, where he has been able to use his science, business, and law backgrounds to co-found six technology startup companies and coach a couple dozen more. An example of his products: ChocoLite

He has a passion for world missions and founded Emerging Fields in 2019, a 501c3 nonprofit with a unique IRS approval to use 100% of donated funds to build for-profit businesses, so long as they serve within the mission of spreading the gospel among the least reached nations.

He and his wife, Mary, have eight kids, four of whom are still at home—perhaps future Patriots! As a DBU faculty member, his hope is to help raise up the next generation of leaders with a love for Jesus, a passion for the great commission, and a commitment to excellence in business.
