Christ and Composition: Reflections on the Gospels and Writing
The following reflections explore some relationships between the life and person of Christ and the work of words and writing. They are not intended to provide a theology of writing per se, which would have to include the much larger canon of scripture, such as the Book of Proverbs and James' epistle on the work of the tongue. Instead, these reflections ask us not only to look at the way words surround Jesus but also to explore how our gifts and struggles as writers may give us further insight into Jesus the Word made flesh.
