TEACP Teacher Certification
Accelerate Your Certification Process
Shortages of certified teachers present a tremendous challenge to schools across the nation. In 2023-24, nearly 37% of all teachers in Texas held an emergency certificate or had no Texas certification. Why is this an issue? The certification of teachers points to the proficiency and effectiveness of teachers who have the training, knowledge, and skills to positively impact student performance in the classroom.
If you feel that God is calling you to teach and you currently hold at least a bachelor’s degree, DBU has a path forward to certification. If you are exploring the possibility of teaching for the first time or if you find yourself one of those stepping into the classroom without certification, DBU invites you to consider Pathways to Teaching. The DBU Pathways to Teaching program provides a nationally accredited and recognized training program that accelerates certification while maintaining a focus on critical areas of preparation that will help you be an effective teacher.
