"My goal for my students at DBU is that they will grow both academically and spiritually!”
How do you integrate faith into your classroom?
"I lead students to discover statistics in the Bible. I also share my faith and my testimony through the course and utilize devotionals to connect the learning objectives and materials together. Students are also offered the opportunity to share how our devotionals relate to subject matter in class. My students share their prayer requests through Blackboard discussion and emails, and I pray for them. I introduce ice-breaker activities in class, such as sharing blessings for which they are most thankful."
Why do you teach at DBU?
"There is no other place like DBU where one can experience Christ-like love and a warm community. DBU also has a diverse group of students—young and old, native and international. I care deeply about my students and enjoy helping them reach their full potential."
What does Christ-centered education mean to you?
"DBU’s Christ-centered education motivates students to be more Christ-like. Students are taught to practice biblical values in their daily lives together with the knowledge that they acquire in class. Here at DBU, students have dedicated educators who love the Lord intensely and genuinely care about their students. DBU’s quality Christian education is grounded in the truth of God, which produces spiritually mature believers who are both wise and knowledgeable."
What is your goal for your students at DBU?
"My goal for my students at DBU is that my students will grow both academically and spiritually! I would like to see my students walk in the fruit of the spirit here at DBU. I want them to learn to love others as themselves, be joyful in their daily lives and studies, and have peaceful minds. I strive to inspire my students to become Christian leaders who serve the Lord effectively and efficiently, using the knowledge, tools, and skills they acquire in my classes. I want my students to receive the academic and spiritual foundation that will help them excel in their future careers."

How do you mentor students at DBU?
"I love my students and care about them. I challenge them and hold high expectations for them. I also spend time encouraging them to move forward and press on to levels much higher than they sometimes think they can achieve. I use my own international educational experience to teach my students the values of discipline, diligence, and determination."
If you could tell a parent why DBU is worth their investment, what would you tell them?
"DBU has small class sizes, allowing students individual attention from professors and the opportunity to connect with other students as class communities. Classes are also taught by professors, rather than student teaching assistants. Additionally, the campus is a safe, Christ-centered, loving, and caring environment!"
