Walking in Faith: Tiffany Coleman's Journey of Strength, Service, and Healing

Tiffany Coleman

For Tiffany Coleman, Dallas Baptist University was more than just a place of learning—it was a transformative chapter of faith, friendship, and purpose. A 2010 graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a 2013 graduate with a Master of Arts in Counseling, Tiffany's journey at DBU laid the foundation for a life devoted to service and faith.

Raised in a Christian home, Tiffany made a personal commitment to her faith at the age of eight. Throughout her youth, she remained active in her church community, deepening her love for Christ. When the time came to choose a university, DBU’s Christ-centered education and engaging community made it the perfect choice. Little did she know that her time at DBU would not only strengthen her relationship with the Lord but also introduce her to lifelong friendships and even her late husband, Dwight Coleman Jr., a dedicated athlete on the DBU basketball team.

During her years at DBU, Tiffany immersed herself in campus life, cherishing impactful courses and mentorships that shaped her academically and spiritually. Her experiences extended beyond the classroom, fostering deep connections with fellow students and faculty members who left an indelible mark on her life. After graduating, Tiffany dedicated her career to serving vulnerable communities. From working in battered women’s shelters and foster care agencies to serving as an investigator for Child Protective Services, she provided support and advocacy for those in need. Her work in private practice counseling further underscored her commitment to guiding others through their healing journeys.

Despite her professional accomplishments, Tiffany considers her greatest milestone to be building a Christ-centered family. As a mother, she embraces the privilege of nurturing her children while also honoring the legacy of her late husband, who passed away unexpectedly in 2022.

Today, she continues to impact others through public relations while also offering mentorship and encouragement to widows navigating the path of grief. Through speaking engagements, podcasts, and personal outreach, she uses her own experiences to provide comfort and hope to those facing similar trials. Tiffany has either hosted or been a guest on a number of shows and podcasts, including In the Middle TV, Sister Circle Podcast, and The Called Women Show, using these platforms to share her journey and inspire others.

Reflecting on her time at DBU, Tiffany credits the University for instilling in her a heart for service and a Christ-centered leadership mindset. She encourages current students and recent graduates to trust in God’s plan, embrace their faith, and lean into the challenges that shape their journey.

"DBU holds such a special place in my heart. It’s where I met my late husband, where I formed lifelong friendships, and where I grew in my faith. The lessons I learned here continue to guide me in every aspect of my life."

If Tiffany could speak to her younger self, she would say, "You are stronger and wiser than you realize. The road ahead may be long and challenging, but the Lord will walk with you every step of the way." She would encourage herself to guard her heart, surround herself with like-minded believers who uplift and hold her accountable, and cling to her faith unwaveringly, no matter the circumstances.

For Tiffany, DBU is a cornerstone of faith, love, and unwavering support. Her journey stands as a testament to the power of faith-driven education and the profound impact of a Christ-centered community.
