Meet Dr. Adelita Baker who teaches in the College of Education at Dallas Baptist University. DBU’s College of Education has gained national attention the past several years, as it has been recognized as being in the top 1% of elementary teacher preparation programs in the nation.

The first day of classes this Spring semester, I had a student walk up to me and say the nicest thing to me—very encouraging for sure. I used to think that only a certain gracious personality (or someone with the “gift of encouragement”) could be encouraging, but I have decided it takes intentionality—to encourage on purpose.
Dallas Baptist University hosted Dr. Marcus Goodie Goodloe at the Inaugural Veritas Lecture Series. DBU launched a new lecture series called Veritas: Truth that Transforms. The series allows engaging speakers from a variety of contexts to challenge DBU students in how to use their Christian faith to transform the world.
Whether studying, reading, or catching up with friends, college students can often be found with a cup of coffee in hand. Now, DBU students have new on-campus options for purchasing and enjoying a great cup of joe!
Over winter break, DBU students traveled to various places around the world, serving or celebrating the Lord's creation. One group traveled to Denia, Spain to lead a Vacation Bible School at Alfa y Omega School; another group found themselves exploring Biblical and geopolitical sites around Israel, and Apartment Life held their annual Ski Trip to Copper Mountain, Colorado.
