Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be used toward the construction of Phase 1 of the Transform Campaign, which will develop the east campus of the University and establish DBU’s first Residential College.

Dallas, TX – Bridging the gap between theory and practice is at the heart of the Graduate School of Ministry’s partnership with Sky Ranch, a Christian camp with locations in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. The first cohort of students participating in the partnership program will graduate in August, after spending two years doing on-site ministry with Sky Ranch while simultaneously completing online coursework at DBU.

Dallas, TX – Dallas Baptist University honored Paul and Charla Vinyard, owners of Babe’s Chicken Dinner House, Bubba’s Cooks Country, and Sweetie Pie’s Ribeyes, during the eleventh annual Tom Landry Leadership Award Dinner on Saturday, April 1, 2017, on the DBU campus. The annual event recognizes the lasting legacy of one of North Texas’ most famous citizens, Tom Landry, with more than 400 guests in attendance at this year’s dinner.
Dr. Bloom joined the DBU family in August of 2012 after more than 18 previous years in higher education. During his time at DBU thus far, Dr. Bloom has instructed students in a variety of courses in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the College of Education, as well as has served on the Educator Preparation Board since the fall of 2015.

One of the hallmarks of a DBU education is the process of learning what it means to be a Christian servant leader. Alumnus Doug Hewitt is putting his DBU education into practice through a recent business venture in northern California. Hewitt, along with a business partner, decided to launch a coffee shop that would help others while also being profitable. The result is called 1951 Coffee Shop, which is staffed exclusively by refugees.

Dowd, a current ABC News political analyst, formerly served as the chief strategist for the Bush-Cheney 2004 presidential campaign. Dowd’s remarks focused on the current political climate in America after the 2016 election.
Dallas, TX – With more than 1,000 people gathered in the Patty and Bo Pilgrim Chapel, DBU alumnus and 2016 World Series MVP Ben Zobrist recalled his historic moment during this past year’s World Series. Zobrist, who served as a veteran influence for the Chicago Cubs, had an outstanding impact on the series, culminating in a go-ahead RBI double that sealed the Cubs victory in extra innings in Game 7.
