DBU recently announced that the Honor Scholars Academy is now the Pre-College Academy (PCA). PCA provides high school students with the opportunity to enroll in dual credit classes through Dallas Baptist University. The program offers 25+ courses in Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters online and in-person. Students who enroll in PCA are at an advantage as they receive a head start on their college education from a Christ-centered institution.

Enrolling in PCA also saves money! Classes are offered at the low price of $450 per class. PCA students also receive priority admission when applying to Dallas Baptist University. Students can apply to DBU as early as their junior year of high school. Applying early has the added benefit of early approval for the Christian Service Scholarship, Christian Leadership Scholarship, and our institutional academic scholarships.

As another bonus, Pre-College Academy students who complete one course in the program are eligible for a $5,000 scholarship ($1,250 per year) when they enroll full-time at DBU after high school. PCA is a great way to get a head start on a Christ-centered education from Dallas Baptist University!

A former PCA student, Ryan Wilson, said, "The Pre-College Academy gave me the chance to experience taking a college class before I ever stepped foot on campus. It gave me a taste of DBU while preparing me for the road ahead." Ryan graduated from DBU with a B.S. in Math in 2022 and an M.S. in Information Technology and Management in August 2024.
